REVER - Motorcycle GPS & Rides App Reviews

Ive always wanted an application that could track my rides on a map. I can also share it which is huge. So glad I took a chance on this. Great app. Easy to use.

I love this app and have gone from using Google Maps to Rever. Rever has lots more features for sure, including Butler maps. Hopefully, the good folks at Rever will continue to add more Butler maps to the website. The one thing, only one, that I like better in Google Maps is the ability to add markers. Man, if Rever would add that little piece this app would be hands down the best out there.

Never could get it to log in kept getting an error message deleted it!

The combination of app and site ride editing capabilities make it a true motorcyclist product. A plethora of enhancements on this latest version of the app have taken it to new levels of usability. Excellent app!

Love everything so far but its missing 5 key items. 1- Turn-by-turn directions. 2- Voice directions. 3- Traffic re-routes. 4- Giving credit for rides shared with friends. Privacy must have a balance. 5- need Butler maps for NY to NC. Very empty between the two.

This app is easy to use, does what it says, and works very well. Like it a lot. Simple operation, easy to share with a friend.

It would be great to be able to import a .gpx file.

So far so good. Gunna use it for the offline option next week for a ride thru Canada.

If location set to always, it consumes battery quickly even when the app is not open in the background. Repeat, the app is not running, and it still consumes the battery very quickly. Change to only when open and the problem goes away. Im using iOS 9.3.2 and the current version of Rever. The problem was present in the previous version of Rever with iOS 9.3.1 as well.

I like the app but the last update wiped all my previous rides (luckily it was only 4 or 5). I can only imagine if I had tracked a ton of rides and lost them.

Not a gps just for tracking have to buy premium app for routes recommended with butler or join other groups

Initially I gave this a good rating but then I put it to the ultimate test and it failed. I tried to track a 10,000 mile ride and it did not measure up to claims. It is not all that stable and has a tendency to stop tracking for no reason. It eats battery VERY quickly and even when it is plugged in it can eat battery quicker than it can recharge. For a short poker run track or for the average rider who will ride less than a 1000 miles a year this is a great app... for the hard core rider we will need to wait for somethings a bit more robust. Great try but not there yet.

Rever is the ultimate tracking app and it allows you to create groups and share your ride with your buddies. Tons of awesome features and becoming even more user friendly with each version!

Butler maps need to be free!!!!

I used to love this app. Even after some disappointing results, I stuck with Rever. Now I had to remove it completely. It sits in the background consuming all my battery life. It still runs even after I close the app. It still runs even after I forcefully terminate the app. Get this: it still runs after I DELETE the app. I had to delete the app then hard reboot my phone. I dont know what Rever did to their app but this is unacceptable. Do yourself a favor and dont install this battery killing zombie app.

I like the app, works well and Id like to keep using it but when I see 50% of my battery drain is this one app when Im not even using it...well, there you have it. Thats just bad programming. Please fix that!!

I just have downloaded it because I read that BMW Motorrad had partnered with Rever. I am in Colombia so I thought it would not work down here. It does work perfectly, it has very good off-road trails delineated. The most important parts for me were that I had an issue, went to support, chat with them explaining everything and it was fixed. Then something ver very useful is that you can do all you trip in the computer, pass it to the phone app, and start your trip. Remember this is a phone app not a GPS unit. I have bought maps apps for my off-road trips but none of the you can pass from computer to cellphone, only cellphone to computer, this one does both.

Ive been using the app to follow some preset rides and to track my own routes. It works great, serving as a GPS. I havent used the group feature yet.
