app crashes

After most recent update, app crashes when I attempt to log in with Facebook on my iPhone 6. App has become unusable.

Plan with the website

I like the app. Tracks very well. Has a nice interface. With regard to inability to plan a ride using iPhone or iPad: you can log in to Rever.co and plan the ride using Safari. The mobile app has no planning tools but it is easy to do on the website. Looking forward to some adventure rides with this app navigating and tracking.

App crashes

App crashes when attempting login. App hangs when logging in via Facebook. Downloaded and reinstalled multiple times. A map drawn in crayon on the back of a used napkin is more useful than this app.

Works great!

It’s great to be able to track my motorcycle rides and share with friends. Rever is super easy to use and is really accurate. The free features give me everything I need.

Almost there

The app is on the right track but at this point is not much different from any other GPS app. It needs the feature for trail segments and leaderboards within each segment, and the ability to create segments that any user can see (in some cases maybe private for groups only see), similar to Strava. If it had that capability, the app would be money.

A fun way to track rides and plan them!

This works great as a simple gps app for motorcycles. This paired with my Ram mount on the KLR means all day riding bliss.

App crashes

Never been able to get past login, crashes every time.

Lots of potential, nowhere close yet

Pros: - Trip planning using Butler maps data…but NOT IN THE APP - Nice visual design; I like orange - Tracking rides seems accurate Cons: - The app itself is a memory hog/leaker and will come to a grinding halt just by browsing through routes - No turn-by-turn. This means that if you plan route, and want to ride it, you need to export to something like inRoute to ACTUALLY not get lost. - The option to keep the screen active is toggled off by default, and navigating to options is a little strange. - Overall the UI/IA feels strange. No horrible, just not very modern. This combined with the memory leaks makes is unusable sometimes. Summary: The only thing that makes this not a 1 star review is the Butler map data. Planning trips ON A COMPUTER and then exporting them to inRoute etc is great. This app, for now, is garbage. For me, tracking rides is much less interesting than planning and riding in one app. I reeeeally hope they get it together.

Fun!

Great app. Connects to base camp. Keep up the challenges!

Great Riding App

I have been using this app for a little over a year and am greatly impressed with its many features, especially the one that tracks vertical distance of your rides. I find that it uses very little of my battery strength on longer rides (I use an iPhone 5c for tracking). I highly recommend it to any serious motorcycle tourer.

Good but not great

The concept is solid. It tracks 90% of what I was looking for and very fun to share the rides with friends. Biggest issue I have with the Premium version is the map is always crashing. As I load the recommended rides and start reviewing the area, it works for about 30 seconds then stops rendering. Fix that please and add lean angle and you have a great app. (9 rides logged, 27hrs and 1,250+ miles tracked)

REVER

I installed the Rever app last fall right around the end of the riding season (I live in central Pennsylvania). I have been using it this spring and I am thrilled with its performance. I am a premium/pro user and as far as Im concerned the annual fee is well worth the cost! The online planning utility at www.rever.co is fantastic. It is easy to use, very accurate, and allows quick/simple edits of waypoints! I use a Ram Mount X-Grip to hold my iPhone 6 when I need to follow a planned route. If I am exploring randomly, or if I already know where Im going, I simply put the phone on tracking mode and store it in my inside pocket. The app tracks my tide and when the screen is off, the GPS function uses very little battery. I have been out for three or more hours without having to charge the phone. The tracking feature works great. When I track a ride with the phone in my pocket, the ride map is instantly loaded to my online account. As soon as I come inside and take off my gear, the ride map is already on screen. To top things off, the guys at www.Rever.co are extremely responsive with questions and answers and they interact personally with their customers. I will never use a Tom-Tom, Garmin, or Magellan again! Gooday, Mates!
